The term “yakoo” was invented by our favorite actor, Eddie Murphy, in a skit on our favorite television show, Saturday Night Live (SNL), as part of a statement against racism and hypocrisy. Chris Rock later performed the same skit verbatim on a later episode of SNL solidifying the word “yakoo” in the English lexicon.
We appreciate the unique approach Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy have taken to breaking down barriers and exposing hypocrisy through their comedic genius. As a tribute to these two brilliant gentlemen, who have kept us laughing for decades, we decided to use the name “yakoo” for our site.
